CHRISTOPHER GARRETT

PRESIDENT


Christopher has over 30 years of experience in the construction industry. He grew up in The Woodlands, TX and then went on to the University of Texas, where he received a basketball scholarship. During the summers, he would work construction jobs on Martha’s Vineyard where he developed a passion for residential construction. For years he and his family moved all over the country while he worked his way up from a Service Assistant with a Houston based homebuilder to a Division President position for a national homebuilder. Christopher decided to start Garrett Custom Homes & Fine Renovation, with his wife Nicole in 2007, to fill a niche. They wanted to provide excellent quality renovations and new construction for a reasonable price. They founded the company to build beautiful high-end custom homes and large-scale fine renovations in select areas of Houston.

Christopher’s approach to home building is deliberate and carefully scheduled. He is in each project daily to make sure that they are being built to his standards. He feels it is critical to be in touch with each client weekly if not daily. Christopher makes himself available to discuss what is going on, address any questions and review scheduling so that each project stays on track. He has contracted with trade partners that he spent years cultivating and working with. Christopher’s focus on every job is to create a beautiful space with excellent quality materials and labor.

NICOLE GARRETT

VICE PRESIDENT


Nicole has over 18 years of experience in residential finish out and selections. She was born and raised in Houston, TX and went on to the University of Texas where she met Christopher. She graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Marketing. While raising their two children, Nicole started her own decorating company in Dallas, TX where she worked with clients as a consultant for a national homebuilder. After returning to Houston she and Christopher created Garrett Custom Homes & Fine Renovation while also serving on the board of a national charity organization and fundraising for various non-profits.

Nicole handles all new client meetings, bidding, estimating and permitting to get the jobs ready to commence construction. Garrett Custom Homes bidding is a very deliberate process that includes a coordinated trade walk in each home to ensure the most accurate possible pricing for our clients. Our goal is to give detailed information so that our clients can make educated decisions. Nicole devotes extensive time on the front end of the projects to ensure the right trade partners are bidding the jobs and proper allowances are being input in to our cost plus estimates so that the final estimate works for each client’s budget and taste.

LORI TRUAX

DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS


Lori has over 20 years in sales and finance management experience. She sold real estate for many years in Dallas and in addition, has successfully purchased and sold numerous properties in the Houston area as well as Florida. Lori was raised in Houston, TX and attended the University of Texas. Lori has worked in top management positions for auto and boat sales as well as finance management in both of these industries. She was a car dealer for many years prior to joining Garrett Custom Homes in 2012 where she handles all finance, office management, contracting and client budgets.

Lori’s approach with every client is to make sure they are informed on where they stand at all times with their budget. Her priority is to ensure that our clients are in control of what they are spending and where they are in the process with regard to their finances. She works with each client to accommodate the best approach to communicate this information and to make the process clear, concise and easy to follow.

EDRAS TURCIOS

FIELD SUPERINTENDENT


Edras has over 11 years of experience in the construction industry. He was born and raised in Houston, TX. Edras has worked on excellent paint and tile crews. He understands the importance of quality labor when installing quality materials.

Edras is on site each day to meet trade partners, ensure jobs remain clean, questions that arise in the field are addressed promptly and correctly, clients needs are taken care of and homes are locked and unlocked properly each day.
